FG declares Monday, 29th May, Public Holiday

The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced that Monday, May 29th, 2023, will be observed as a non-working day for all employees throughout the country.

The decision was made by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, on behalf of the Federal Government, with the intention of allowing Nigerians to commemorate the inauguration of the nation’s 16th democratically elected President.

Dr. Shuiab Belgore, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, issued a statement on Friday, conveying the Minister’s felicitations to all Nigerians on this momentous occasion.

The Minister commended the citizens for their unwavering faith in democracy, as demonstrated through their participation in the nationwide election that led to the election and inauguration of the President and his Deputy.

This expression of faith was further evident in all elections held across the nation.
