by Alice Babalola

The Federal Government has inaugurated an implementation committee to end the rejection of Nigerian export.

The Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo disclosed this on Thursday while speaking at the inaugural ceremony in Abuja.

Adebayo said the inaugurated team is to implement the recommendations of the technical committee as quickly as possible.

He added that if the recommendations are carefully implemented, the nation’s export sub-sector will witness rapid growth.

A Nigeria Agro-Export Rejection Technical Committee was inaugurated two months ago to address the non-acceptance of the country’s agro-exports at the global market, especially within European Countries, DAILY POST reports.

According to Adebayo, “Suffice it to state that a number of activities have been outlined to implement the recommendations of the Technical Committee, and it is the task of the Implementation Committee to diligently ensure that they are properly articulated for the growth and development of the export sub-sector of the economy.”
