FG initiates measures to guarantee 48-hour visa acquisition for investors, tourists

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the establishment of a tripartite committee to streamline visa processes and acquisition.

The committee’s goal is to ensure that investors and tourists can obtain Nigerian visas within 48 hours.

This announcement was made by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris, during a briefing with State House Correspondents on Tuesday.

Idris explained that the committee’s approval is aimed at simplifying the visa process to facilitate ease of doing business in Nigeria.

“Our visa processes are becoming cumbersome. The ease of doing business is also tied to our visa processes. Going forward, those investors, tourists would find it easy to acquire a visa within the next 48 hours,” Idris stated.

The FEC meeting, which started on Monday, was adjourned to Tuesday to accommodate other “far-reaching” decisions.
