FG offers ASUU N65bn to end strike

The federal government has offered the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) N65bn to resolve the ongoing strike which has lasted for 10 months.

Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige made the proposal on behalf of the government to the striking lecturers when they met in Abuja on Friday, November 20.

He said “The FG reiterated that her offer of N40 billion or 35 billion whichever is accepted by ASUU was for all the universities unions: ASUU had proposed that N40 billion be paid immediately for all unions”
