FG will regulate social media, not shut it down — Lai Mohammed

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, on Thursday said the Federal Government has no plan to shut down the internet or social media.

He added that the government would only work with stakeholders to regulate social media.

The Minister made this known at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, where he observed that social media was used wrongly to cause mayhem in the aftermath of the #EndSARS protest.
