Finance and Operations Officer at County Finance Limited

Salary Range: ₦150,000 – ₦200,000/month

Description

  • We are looking to hire a seasoned and strategic officer to serve as operations and finance for our brand.
  • In this role, you will handle the company’s day-to-day operations, financial management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for all operational activities of the brand.
  • Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer service.
  • Develop and manage the brand’s financial strategies, including budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management.
  • Monitor the brand’s financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Ensure the brand’s compliance with finance regulations, banking laws, and relevant industry standards.
  • Collaborate with regulatory authorities and maintain a strong understanding of changing regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and manage potential risks to the brand’s reputation, financial health, and operations.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and controls to protect the brand’s assets.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture by promoting excellent customer service and relationship building.
  • Engage with clients to understand their financial needs and promote the brand’s products and services.
  • Provide effective support to operational and finance teams, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
  • Develop talent within the organization through coaching, training, and professional development initiatives.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including investors, board members, and partners.
  • Represent the company in industry associations, forums, and relevant events.
  • Report regularly to the board of directors on the brand’s performance, strategic initiatives, and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field; being a chartered accountant is an added advantage.
  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in this role within the microfinance, finance, or banking sector.
  • Strong knowledge of finance regulations, banking operations, and financial management.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive innovation.
  • Sound understanding of risk management principles.
  • Proficiency in using banking software (BankOne) and Microsoft Office suite.
