Firm conducts free medical checks for Lagos residents

Daily-Need Industries Limited has given relief in form of free medical outreach and donation of essential food items to residents of Mushin and environs in Lagos.

The exercise, which took place at the Primary Health Centre, Mushin, was part of activities marking the firm’s 50th manufacturing anniversary.

It featured collaboration between medical professionals from the pharmaceutical firm and officials of Mushin Local Government Area in the counselling, vaccination and screening of people.

The outreach also saw the vaccination of children against measles and polio, while young adults and the aged had free tests and checks for HIV, dental, eye, hepatitis B, blood pressure and blood sugar level, among others

Group Managing Director, Daily-Need Industries Limited, Oluwatosin Jolayemi, who spoke during the exercise, said it was to create awareness for people on the need to take care of their health and be health-conscious.

He said the presence of the medical professionals was to enable “people to know their health status and get treated immediately.”

“There are many incurable diseases that are killing people as a result of lack of proper checkups to checkmate the diseases. With this exercise, the beneficiaries will be able to understand how vital medical checkup is to living a good life,” he said.
