Responsibilities
- Assign drivers to routes based on customer needs and driver availability
- Monitor driver performance and provide feedback as needed
- Track and report on the status of all vehicles in the fleet
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Respond to driver and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Management or a related field
- Prior experience as a fleet dispatcher or similar role in a Logistics Industry
- Familiarity with Lagos roads and traffic patterns
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of GPS systems and transportation management software
