Forklift Operation Instructor at Dexterous Applied Training Institute (DATI)

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operation Instructor to join our team. As a Forklift Operation Instructor, you will be responsible for training new forklift operators and ensuring that they follow safe operating procedures.
• You will be working with a variety of individuals, including new employees, experienced operators, and management staff, to provide comprehensive training programs that meet all safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs for new forklift operators, including classroom instruction and hands-on training.
• Assess trainees’ progress and provide feedback to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
• Ensure that all training materials and courses meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Update training materials and courses as needed to keep up with changes in regulations and industry best practices.
• Work with management staff to identify training needs and provide customized training solutions as needed.
• Conduct refresher training for experienced forklift operators to reinforce safe operating procedures and help prevent accidents.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities and trainee progress.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND)
• Must be a certified Forklift Operator, with either IADC or Opito, Or City & Guilds or OSHA or or any other equivalent certification
• Must have a Minimums of Two (2) year working experience with a Forklift.
• Be occupationally competent
• Have been trained in instructional/training techniques and/or have proven instructing experience.
