Fuel subsidy: Sanwo-Olu announces 50 per cent reduction on Lagos buses

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has taken measures to support Lagos residents amid the fuel subsidy removal by introducing palliatives.

As of Wednesday, there will be a significant 50% reduction on Lagos buses to alleviate the impact on commuters.

Additionally, a 25% reduction in fees for yellow buses has been approved by the Governor, and the official announcement will be made by their union.

A tweet from the governor’s media aide, Jubril Gawat, read: “FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has announced Palliatives to cushion the effect of the Fuel subsidy removal: – 50% reduction on Lagos Buses from Wednesday.

“25% reduction in yellow buses fees which will be announced officially by their body.”
