Gernot Rohr invites Enyimba keeper and 21 others for Benin, Lesotho clash

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has named Enyimba FC goalkeeper, John Noble, Captain Ahmed Musa, William Ekong, midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and forward Victor Osimhen in a 24-man list for this month’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying battles with Benin Republic and Lesotho.

This was contained in a press statement by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ademola Olajire, titled, ‘Rohr lists Musa, Ekong, 22 others for Squirrels, Crocodiles’, on Tuesday.

Also included are defenders Leon Balogun, Kenneth Omeruo and Olaoluwa Aina, midfielders Oghenekaro Etebo and Joseph Ayodele-Aribo, and forwards Alex Iwobi, Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze.

Seven players, including long–time goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, are on standby.
