Governor Zulum allocates land for RUGA project in Borno

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has allocated land for the controversial Federal Government’s programme on ranching otherwise known as RUGA in Borno state.

The Borno state who visited the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohammad Sabo Nanono, in Abuja on Monday, July 12, confirmed the approval and also disclosed that though the ranching project is sited in the central part of Borno, there is another collaborative project that would be extended to southern and northern parts of the state.

Officials from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development are expected to arrive in Maiduguri on an assessment for the commencement of other projects.

The minister commended Governor Zulum for the approval and also expressed gratitude for the visit.
