Gary Vaynerchuk is a renowned entrepreneur, author, speaker, and internet personality; and he’s really looked up to by a lot of entrepreneurs. He made a name for himself working on his father’s business, and expanding his family’s wine business. Gary is also very known for establishing leading businesses around digital marketing, social media based in New York – VaynerMedia, and VaynerX.
This is someone you really want to listen to if you are really interested in using the social media to grow your business significantly. Here, I will be showing you social media tips for business from Gary Vaynerchuk.
1. Maintain authenticity
Everyone has a voice that is unique to them. Gary says “Don’t do something because I did it, or Steve Jobs, or Elon Musk did it. Do it because that is who you are.”
Gary encourages people to maintain their authentic voices, and that can sure pay off in the long run.
2. Work harder than your competition
Gary has been active on social media since 2006, and he has not stopped posting content every day. He believes in real hard work, as that is a great way to massive success but, even in social media, Gary also encourages brands to just keep working hard on social media – even harder than competition and that can result in massive engagements, showing a consistent brand, and can build trust amongst your followers and non-followers, too (when they just start seeing you enough that they just want to know what you’re all about).
3. Reply messages and comments
Make it a habit to reply as much messages as you can, and respond to comments on a post, or an article that you shared to your followers, and it can make followers feel seen and heard, and can blow loyalty through the roof.
Big brands understand this, that’s why they make it a duty to get as much messages as they can respond to, and make it really important task to always stay on top of complaints, and feedback, as they are swift to getting a solution.
4. Give, don’t take
Gary encourages brands to try as much as possible to keep providing original, fresh content; even way more than they get in return as profits. Gary started WineTV, and for 18 months, kept creating great content but didn’t get anything significant out of it all. Yet, that didn’t cause him to stop doing what he was doing. Instead, he enjoyed the experience as well.
5. Don’t focus on follower count
This is going to make your business worthless if follower count is your main focus. Gary advices that, “if you’re always trying to get something out of a process, you’ll always lose because you won’t be patient.”
Gary encourages that people enjoy the process of growing their business brand, even way more than the end goal – because you do more for yourself when you’re really present in the now, and take each and every experience very seriously – and try to learn from those experiences, not getting overwhelmed by them.
Over the decades, Gary has immersed himself into various aspects of business development – sales, marketing, and operations, and has helped a lot of people find their own entrepreneurs. If he says it, know that it works!
Using the social Media will be one of the best digital marketing strategies you’ll employ in growing your business.
