Purpose of Job
- Group Revenue Assurance Manager will oversee revenue management and the implementation of controls to minimize revenue leakage.
- This role will contribute to Wakanow overall financial stability and growth by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our revenue streams.
Responsibilities
- Develop processes and procedures to drive operational efficiencies, assist in development and meeting of departmental budget.
- Provide research and analytics to the business to identify potential trends, anomalies, risks and opportunities for improvement, making suggested recommendations on areas where we can improve financial or operational performance.
- Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations to detect discrepancies, investigate root causes, and provide timely resolutions for any revenue-related issues.
- Create and efficiently execute plans to address revenue leakages.
- Analyze actions initiated or proposed in response to audit recommendations and monitors the completion of corrective actions and necessary, advises management of non-compliance.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to predict, measure and interpret business trends, while owning and managing the successful execution of business performance programs.
- Identify opportunities for cost, product, program, revenue and process improvement with a focus on driving significant growth.
- Execute analysis and modeling that translates data into actionable insights
- Research and analyze key business drivers, trends and operating metrics.
- Lead the preparation and publishing of metric forecasting and reporting, and communicate findings on a regular basis to all levels of management.
- Control revenue leakage in terms of lost revenue (process, technology, human errors), stolen revenue (bad debt, fraud), missed revenue (improper marketing, problems at product launch).
- Oversee billings, credit adjustments, and refunds on monthly basis.
- Perform financial modeling of contracts with airlines to ensure accurate revenue recognition and evaluate the financial impact of various contractual terms and conditions.
Key Skills & Competencies Requirements
Functional/ Technical:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a professional certification such as CFA, ACCA, ACA, or FMVA is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in treasury, finance, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional treasury operations.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and internal control principles
- Ability to write advanced SQL and analyze large data sets
- Knowledge of financial reporting
- Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding accounting, finance and taxation
- Strong IT literacy, Microsoft Excel in particular
