Job Summary
- The Head of Deposit Mobilization and Agency Banking plays a pivotal role in driving the growth of deposit accounts and expanding the reach of agency banking services for Ibile Microfinance Bank Limited.
- This strategic leadership position involves developing and implementing effective strategies to attract and retain depositors, as well as overseeing the expansion of agency banking partnerships to enhance financial inclusion and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
Deposit Mobilization Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to attract and mobilize deposits.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for deposit growth.
Product Development:
- Collaborate with product development teams to introduce innovative deposit products and services.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for deposit products.
Agency Banking Expansion:
- Identify and onboard new agency banking partners to expand the network.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing agency partners.
Training and Support:
- Provide training and support to agency partners to ensure effective service delivery.
- Implement performance metrics and incentives to drive agency banking performance.
Customer Engagement:
- Develop and implement customer engagement programs to enhance loyalty and retention.
- Gather feedback from depositors and agency partners for continuous improvement.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for deposit mobilization and agency banking.
- Implement risk management practices to safeguard deposits and mitigate operational risks.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate regular reports on deposit mobilization and agency banking performance.
- Conduct data analysis to derive insights and inform strategic decisions.
Collaboration with Marketing:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement campaigns to promote deposit products and agency banking services.
- Represent the organization in community outreach programs to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree/MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in deposit mobilization, agency banking, or related roles within the financial services sector.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to deposit products and agency banking.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
