Head of Marketing at LAPO Microfinance Bank Limited

JOB OBJECTIVE/SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the sales of products and services of LAPO MfB. S/he will be responsible for marketing research, coordinating the marketing mix variables to ensure that the bank always takes market advantage. Demonstrated capabilities to manage business relationships profitably. This function will lead the marketing transformation from a transactional to a relationship model to grow the bank’s customer base, retain existing, and build profitable opportunities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Researches and analysis a variety of marketing information, including market trends, pricing schedules, competitor offerings, product specifications, and demographic data
  • Works with creative teams to come up with branding ideas, advertising copy, graphic designs, and promotional materials
  • Identifies the appropriate media channels where each product or service’s marketing materials can be delivered to the public in a cost-effective manner
  • Involves in the New Product Development (NPD) process, and enforces brand marketing guidelines throughout each product lifecycle to ensure the product is relevant at each phase
  • Provides expert direction and insight to marketing staff members throughout each project or campaign
  • Acts as a go-to resource for up-to-date, accurate research and market information
  • Tracks marketing strategy results closely and creates detailed reports with data analysis and other feedback
  • Adjusts marketing plans as needed to respond to data-tracking efforts

  • Existence of a robust product and services marketing strategy and plan
  • Quality and timeliness of go-to-market with product and service offerings
  • Quality, volume and frequency of research report
  • Timeliness and quality internal product knowledge information dissemination
  • Number of new ideas provided, accepted and implemented
  • Key competition insights and adoption of new thinking
  • Increase in the number of e-products adopted and accounts opened

JOB REQUIREMENTS    

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education:  First degree in relevant discipline
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years relevant experience

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/COMPETENCIES    

KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of the nature and dynamics of policy impact on the business environment
  • Hands-on sales and marketing knowledge
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Critical and practical knowledge of digital and social media marketing and management
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programmes (excel and PowerPoint) and other packages
