Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven Head of Operations to lead Nairametrics\’ strategic and daily operations in alignment with our business objectives. This pivotal role involves cross-functional collaboration, HR management, and driving special projects.
The ideal candidate has proven experience in media operations, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for achieving excellence in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution
- Oversee the execution of Nairametrics’ business strategies and goals in collaboration with the CEO.
- Develop scalable processes to support business growth and optimize resource efficiency.
- Identify and manage projects aligned with organizational goals, ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
- Align cross-functional teams with strategic initiatives and corporate objectives.
Human Resources and People Management
- Lead HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and retention.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews and manage underperformance with actionable improvement plans.
- Foster a culture of accountability and handle employee relations and disciplinary actions.
Project Management and Operational Efficiency
- Lead projects from conception to execution, with clear metrics for success and data-driven adjustments.
- Streamline workflows, establish operational processes, and enforce compliance with company policies.
- Oversee finance-related operations, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial controls.
Performance and Process Improvement
- Continuously analyze operations to identify and implement cost-efficient improvements.
- Update policies and monitor KPIs to align with company objectives.
- Conduct bi-annual reviews of policies and procedures to meet evolving business needs.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide regular reports on project progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Represent Nairametrics in external discussions affecting operational strategy and planning.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or MBA is a strong advantage.
Experience
- 8-10 years of operations management experience, preferably in media, technology, or financial services, with senior leadership roles.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Expertise in HR management, strategic planning, and project execution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective relationship management.
