HR / Admin Assistant at RodNorth Nigeria Limited

Job Description

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems Develop training and development programs
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Provide counselling on policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Create and implement effective on boarding plans
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Organizing and managing schedules and calendars for staff
  • Receiving and processing communication channels, including email, phone, and physical mail
  • Assisting human resources department with payroll and personnel databases
  • Conferring with accounting department to help make payments, process incoming invoices, and verify receipts
  • Ensure functionality of necessary office equipment, and requisitioning new equipment and supplies as needed
  • Creating reports and memos for managers and senior-level officers as needed
  • Offer assistance in organizing events, including ordering materials and requisitioning meeting spaces
  • Attend meetings, record notes and messages for managers and senior-level officers.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / BA / HND in Business Administration, Social Studies, or relevant field; further training will be a plus HR Credentials (e.g. PHR from the HR Certification Institute)
  • Proven experience as HR officer, administrator, or other HR position Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.)
  • Understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  • Strong ethics and reliability
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, depending on role
  • Utilize database software to organize financial account information
  • Handle account inquiries from internal and external sources
  • Perform internal audits on financial activities as necessary Review both incoming and outgoing invoices
  • Generate financial reports for review by regulatory authorities
