Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Implement and oversee wellness programs to promote employee health and well-being.
- Analyze compensation data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Serves as a legal resource to the senior management team on human resource issues and initiatives.
- Ensures all necessary human resource policies, programs, and procedures are developed and implemented in accordance with best human resources practices.
- Establishes policies and procedures/mechanisms for performance management; provides consultation and support to managers and supervisors with respect to performance management and staff disciplinary decisions.
- Ensures consistent application of all compensation and benefits policies and practices across the agency.
- Manage performance appraisal processes, ensuring they are fair, transparent and contribute to individual and organizational growth.
- Implement feedback mechanisms and coaching programs to enhance employee performance.
- Ensure the welfare of employees are adequately addressed.
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, L.L.B. combined with a minimum of three years’ experience of law practice.
- Proven working experience as HR Executive is a must
- Advanced knowledge of legislation governing human resources and labour relations such as the Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, Human Rights Code.
- Professional Qualifications Such as CIPM, SPHRI, CIPDwill be an advantage.
- Two or more years post call-to-bar experience
- Competency in developing learning framework and PM strategies
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
