Human Resource & Legal Officer at Bosak Microfinance Bank Limited

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and oversee wellness programs to promote employee health and well-being.
  • Analyze compensation data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Serves as a legal resource to the senior management team on human resource issues and initiatives.
  • Ensures all necessary human resource policies, programs, and procedures are developed and implemented in accordance with best human resources practices.
  • Establishes policies and procedures/mechanisms for performance management; provides consultation and support to managers and supervisors with respect to performance management and staff disciplinary decisions.
  • Ensures consistent application of all compensation and benefits policies and practices across the agency.
  • Manage performance appraisal processes, ensuring they are fair, transparent and contribute to individual and organizational growth.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms and coaching programs to enhance employee performance.
  • Ensure the welfare of employees are adequately addressed.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, L.L.B. combined with a minimum of three years’ experience of law practice.
  • Proven working experience as HR Executive is a must
  • Advanced knowledge of legislation governing human resources and labour relations such as the Employment Standards Act, Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, Human Rights Code.
  • Professional Qualifications Such as CIPM, SPHRI, CIPDwill be an advantage.
  • Two or more years post call-to-bar experience
  • Competency in developing learning framework and PM strategies
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
