Role Description:
- The Human Resource Officer will manage a variety of HR functions, supporting the growth and development of our team members. This includes recruitment, onboarding, monthly HR metrics, incident reporting, ergonomic assessments, and training programs. Key duties involve:
HR Policy & Employee Relations:
- Support general HR matters by developing policies, providing advice on performance, conduct, and managing absences.
- Offer confidential HR advice and assistance to employees and management.
- Prepare for and support disciplinary and grievance hearings.
Employee Administration & Development:
- Manage personnel files, contracts, and employee data.
- Create and implement an induction program for new employees.
- Oversee employee programs, such as work experience and internships.
- Develop and support a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) framework, including talent management and performance appraisal systems.
Training & Health and Safety Compliance:
- Collaborate with training bodies to coordinate employee training, including Health & Safety training records.
- Promote a safe working environment by maintaining Work Health & Safety (WH&S) policies and managing relevant training.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and liaise with insurance providers as needed.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Oversee payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely payments.
- Manage employment pack administration, contract amendments, and salary sacrifice arrangements.
- Advocate and promote employee benefits within the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Social Sciences, Organizational Behavior, or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, including recruitment, employee training, and development.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively support managers at various levels and across multiple departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to relate effectively to a diverse team and communicate HR best practices.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently.
