Igboho’s agitation due to Buhari’s failure- Afenifere leader

Leader of Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, has said the agitation by Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, is due to the failure of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to protect lives and property.

Adebanjo who spoke on Arise News programme, The Morning Show, on Thursday said no help was rendered when Fulani people were raping, killing and kidnapping in Igboho’s area.

He said “It is because of the failure of Buhari to protect lives and property in his area. The Fulani people there are raping, kidnapping, and depriving the farmers of their farmland. They killed his uncle who came all the way from America to establish a farm. They destroyed the farm and killed him. They kidnapped the monarch in the area, the children and raped the women. He rose in retaliation because neither the federal nor the state government came to their aid to arrest or stop the culprit. That is the action that caused the reaction of Igboho.”
