Duties
- Review and documentation of import jobs received from the client.
- racking of shipments and requests for vessel information.
- Drafting duty assessment on the customs portal, verifying and submitting final SGD to the client. Giving regular reports on updates to the client.
- Ensuring speedy resolution of issues that arise in the course of the import clearance process.
- Fast-tracking the process of delivery by liaising with transport brokers
- Processing invoices and evaluating clients’ bill of lading statements of account for invoice dispute resolution.
- Interfacing with the port clerks for an update on customs examination and clearance process of ongoing jobs.
- Ensure documents required for foreign exchange by the bank are submitted to the client in a timely manner
- Compiling invoice documents required to process the client’s clearing invoice.
- Opening new job files and updating shipping information on the intranet.
- Ensure documents required for foreign exchange by the bank are submitted to the client in a timely manner.
- Arranging for NAFDAC to get the first endorsement.
- Any other assignment as may be given or available with the department
Qualification
- BSc /HND in any disciplining
- Student Member of the Chartered Institute of Supply Chain is an added advantage.
