Index case of coronavirus in Oyo State released after testing negative

The index case of coronavirus in Oyo has been released from the state’s isolaton center after testing negative on Monday March 30.

The index case underwent treatement at the Agbami Chest Hospital which is being used as isolation centre in Ibadan.

Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Seyi Makinde, Mr Taiwo Adisa said in a statement; “The American returnee had initially tested negative only for the second test to read positive. The index case had been on self-isolation at a private residence in Ibadan until he was transferred to the Isolation centre at Agbami, Jericho area of Ibadan on March 23. The index case was released after two consecutive negative tests”
