INEC: 587,440 Voters Cards Yet To Be Distributed In Kano

The Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Kano State, Prof. Riskuwa Arab-Shehu has said about 587,440 Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs are yet to be distributed in the state.

He clarified further that the uncollected PVCs are out of the over 5.457,747 enlisted qualified Voters in the state and the distribution stopped on Monday.

Risqua noted that the electoral body in Kano had so far finished the distribution of non-touchy materials to all the 44 Local Government Areas in the state.

The INEC Commissioner added that the commission has additionally printed names of the enlisted qualified Voters and sent to the Local Governments in the state for circulation to all polling units on Election Day.

He called attention to that no less than 51,000 ad-hoc staff to conduct the election have been selected and prepared by the INEC in Kano towards the preparations for the Saturday election, adding that they have been posted to their various places of assignment, giving accommodation and means of transportation to ease their movement during the election.
