Institutions awarding certificates to people who do not attend universities – JAMB Registrar

Registrar of the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board, Professor Ishaq Oloyede has raised an alarm of institutions awarding certificates to people who do not attend universities.

In his speech at the opening ceremony of the National Youth Service Corps 2021 batch B pre-mobilisation workshop in Abuja on Tuesday, June 29, Oloyede warned that awarding fake university certificates to people is dangerous to the development of the education system in the country.

The JAMB registrar also disclosed that many people are not happy with the introduction of the National Identity Number (NIN) as a pre-requisite to sit for the examination as it had crashed malpractice, especially impersonation of candidates.
