Responsibilities
System Administration:

  • Manage and maintain various server operating systems (Windows, Linux).
  • Configure, monitor and optimise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls).
  • Implement and enforce robust security policies to protect the network and data.

Technical Support:

  • Provide timely technical support to end-users (hardware, software, network issues).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems, including cyber security threats.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of IT equipment.

Network Maintenance:

  • Monitor network performance and identify potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., patching, and updates) to enhance security.

Cyber security:

  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
  • Implement and manage security tools (e.g., antivirus, intrusion detection systems).
  • Respond to security incidents and breaches effectively.

Project Coordination:

  • Collaborate with the IT team and other departments on IT projects, ensuring that best practices for cybersecurity are followed.
  • Assist in implementing new IT systems and technologies with a focus on security.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT administration or a similar role, with a strong focus on cyber security.
  • Strong knowledge of server operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving, especially related to security threats.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification in relevant IT fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Security+).
