Junior Product Owner at AB Microfinance Bank

Job Summary

  • The Product Owner plays a pivotal role in the development and execution of product initiatives within innovation department.
  • She/he will collaborate closely with other team members, assists in defining product requirements, prioritizing features, and ensuring the successful delivery of the products or services that meet customer needs and business objectives.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the business analysis stage of projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements.
  • Create and manage a product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Work closely with development teams to define product features and user stories.
  • Plan and communicate release timelines and milestones.
  • Participate in delivering end-to-end support of business users.
  • In charge of documentation of configuration and processes.
  • Preparing test cases and executing them.
  • Planning and executing QA of implementations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective product delivery.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor products, and customer feedback.
  • Gather and prioritize customer feedback for continuous product improvement.
  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the institution’s goals and projects.

Qualifications, Necessary Experience and Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years experience working in agile environment with practical understanding of agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience in product development, project management or a related role in financial industries especially FINTECH
  • Experience in BPMN / process automation, JavaScript, Rest API, SQL, and system integrations (via API) is not mandatory but an advantage.
  • Experience in Grant acquisition and management is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of product management tools such as click up, Jira, Trello or Asana
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Meticulous with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast- paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to drive product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for innovation, with a desire for continuous learning and growth.
