Juventus denied early Serie A title as they lost 2-1 against SPAL

Juventus was on the verge of wrapping up an eight consecutive Serie A title as SPAL denied them that opportunity with a surprising 2-1 defeat. That would have been record breaking as no other Serie A team has won the title eight times in a row.

Juventus just needed one point to win the title but as a result of the defeat, they will have to wait for their next match on Saturday next week in their match against Fiorentina, unless Napoli fails to defeat Chievo on Sunday.
