Job Summary
- Analysis of Food, Water, Wastewater, Pharmaceutical Products, Cosmetic Products, Personal Care products and other products covered under the scope of LS Scientific Laboratory Registration.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform microbiological analysis of food, Water, Wastewater, Pharmaceutical Products, Cosmetic Products, Personal Care products and products covered under the scope of LS Scientific Laboratory Registration.
- Maintain the management system and ensure that it’s implemented inside the laboratory.
- Ensure that all results generated in the Laboratory are accurate, credible, and reliable and in line with approved analytical standards such as NIS, ISO and relevant standards.
- Ensure all chemicals and reagents used in the Lab are within their Expiry Period.
- Monitor and record the environmental conditions (Temperature and Humidity) of the Microbiology Unit .
- Update Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions in the microbiology Laboratory.
- Monthly report of Laboratory Inventory (Media, Supplements, Chemicals, glassware’s, and Consumables) and equipments.
- Monitor/ ensures that good housekeeping is maintained in the Laboratory.
- Ensure routine calibration of Laboratory equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a BSc / HND in Microbiology is compulsory.
- Minimum of 2 years’ cognate experience, preferably in a public laboratory.
- Familiarity withlaboratory equipment.
- Strong intellectual, analytical, and communication skills
- Problem-solver, result-oriented and high-integrity index.
