The nation’s airspace may be shut on Monday as four aviation unions have declared support for Organised Labour proposed nationwide strike.
The unions, in a statement on Friday, directed workers in the Aviation sector to withdrawn their services from Monday, September 28.
The Labour unions has vowed to embarked on nationwide industrial action and protest from Monday over the recent hike in fuel price and electricity tariff.
Despite the court order, the unions has expressed their readiness to begin the strike on Monday and other unions have started showing interest to joining in the action.
All talks between the federal government and organised labour, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) is on ended deadlock as discussions was adjourned until Monday, September 28, 2020 after both sides failed to reach an agreement over the resolution of the dispute on increase in petrol price and electricity tariffs in the country.
