Lagos Govt advise workers to learn new skills

The Lagos State Government has advised staff members of the Lagos State Public Service Staff Development Centre on the need to identify their potential and improve them to attain corporate goals.

The Director-General of the PSSDC, Mr Adekunmilola Adio-Moses, gave the advice, according to a statement on Monday, during his maiden meeting with the centre’s staff members in Lagos.

Adio-Moses said, “The achievement of personal goals will lead to the achievement of the corporate goals through investing in the individual’s career and each staff should identify their talent to help them upskill such talent.

“I am ready to work open-mindedly with all staff members irrespective of their levels, as human beings add value to one another when they work cordially. Any member of staff that has a progressive idea for the centre should not hesitate to share it with me and the management staff.”

Adio-Moses also assured the workers that the agency will prioritise their welfare.

“The Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Mrs Ajibola Ponnle, is ready to provide help to move the centre forward by finding solutions to some of the problems that the centre is facing. So, I implore staff members to state all their challenges for us to work on them,” he added.

Ponnle had recently promised to modernise the centre, renovate its physical and technical infrastructure and organise an online learning platform for its staff members.
