Lagos-Ibadan: Trailer crash, road repair cause traffic

There’s a heavy traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Tuesday morning.

The traffic is on both lanes of the expressway as a trailer was seen to have crashed along Kara bridge, while a road repair is ongoing along OPIC of the other lane of the expressway.

The traffic was seen from Berger up to OPIC area en route Ibadan, while on the other lane, the traffic was seen from OPIC en route Berger.

It was a standstill experience for commuters as many vehicles were seen plying the untarred road off the expressway.

It was gathered that the trailer had crashed since last Monday night, damaging a part of the concrete bridge railing.

Cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained but a team of the Federal Road Safety Corps was seen at the scene.

However, a passenger, who spoke with our correspondent, suggested it could have been caused by break failure.
