Lagos task force Crushes 2,228 Okada

No fewer than 2,228 commercial motorcycles popularly called Okada has been impounded in Lagos State on Friday.

The Lagos State Task force seized the motorcycles  after the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu banned their operations in six local government areas of the state.

Gboyega Akosile, Chief Press Secretary to the state governor, who disclosed this on his verified Twitter handled said these motorcycles impounded by the Lagos State Task Force are being crushed in an undisclosed location in the state.

The Chairman of the task force, CSP Shola Jejeloye, had in a statement issued on Thursday disclosed that the agency will intensify its effort in ensuring that all impounded motorcycles are crushed after following the due process.
