Following her recent appointment by Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the new Executive Secretary of Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade has officially assumed duties at the Academy.
Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, upon her assumption of office, solicited the support of all members of staff of the Academy, stressing that the support of every member of staff is crucial to achieving her set goals and targets.
The Deputy Executive Secretary of the Agency, Mr. Juwon Akinyemi, while welcoming the new Executive Secretary. said that Mrs. Agbaje-Okunade is in familiar terrain, having served as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Developmental Partnership and Economic Planning during the Governor’s first term in office.
He urged the Executive Secretary to bring her wealth of experience, international exposure and pristine educational qualifications to bear in her new assignment.
Mrs. Sinot Koko, the Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Academy expressed optimism that the new Executive Secretary would make a great impact and assured her of the support of the management.
The immediate past Executive Secretary, Ms. Folasade Coker, while congratulating her successor on her appointment, noted that the journey ahead is long and resilience is required.
Mrs Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade bagged her Bachelor of Law and Masters in International Relations and Democratic Politics from the University of Westminster. She holds a professional graduate certificate from Harvard Extension School of Governance and Policy and Strategic Studies from NIPPS.
The fellow of the Kashim Ibrahim Leadership School started her career in public office as Special Assistant to former Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna State after which she served as the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu on Developmental Partnership and Economic Planning.
