Role Overview
- The LCS Project Manager contributes to the organizational goal by ensuring a successful delivery of LCS projects in terms of scope clarification, consultation during each project phase, project planning, onsite execution, reclamation management and project closure.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Maintain entire customer satisfaction by being proactive in dealing with all queries and managing urgent issues with highest priority
- Liaise extensively with internal teams (sales, dispatching, customer support centre, logistics, procurement, finance) in order to ensure trouble-free project execution according to the established work practices and procedures in place
- Communicate intensively with customers to initiate the processing of new LCS orders, monitor spare parts and change parts deliveries, plan the technician teams onsite
- Take the lead directly from customer sites when it comes to installation and commissioning of complex LCS projects
- Develop the LCS business portfolio by achieving a thorough understanding of customer and market requirements and identifying new opportunities
- Follow-up on pre-sales projects, revise budget quotations and finalize hot projects with the customers to achieve the sales target together with the Head of LCS
- Be in direct contact with the headquarter teams in Germany for additional support and clarification
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on the quality of delivery, timeline and budget
- Handle all delegated LCS Projects across the West Africa area, including traveling to customer sites whenever required
- Actively participate in internal process improvement activities and continuously provide “lessons learned” from customer sites
- Be in constant communication with the customer through regular meetings and site visits to ensure proper customer support and identifying potentials for improvements
- Manage agreed Customer SLAs in line with agreed engineer’s visits, line /Machine efficiency and other KPIs
- Regularly update your projects, retrofits and all LCS jobs on the SAP and follow up till it is properly invoiced and closed on the SAP
- Work closely with the dispatching and CSC team to ensure the right technicians are booked and deployed to sites for various projects
- Ensure the Customer is continually updated with regards to the project progress or deviations from the initial project plan of the projects and ensuring minimal Customer escalations
Technical Competencies
- Degree in engineering, project management or equivalent; PMP certification preferred
- Confirmed experience in project management (+5 years)
- Technical knowledge of packaging machinery / Krones equipment experience is preferred
- Knowledge of the beverage and/or packaging machinery market
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent listening, and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English is a must
- Advance knowledge of MS Office and SAP
