‘Liverpool attacker Salah is one of the best players in the world’ – Arsene Wenger

After coming back from a very disappointing start this season, Mohamed Salah, the Egypt international currently leads the race for the Premier League’s top-flight’s Golden Boot.

Arsene Wenger, former Arsenal manager has concluded that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is still one of the best football players in the world.

Scoring 44 goals in the 2017/18 season, the 26-year-old enjoyed an increbible debut with Liverpool after joining them from AS Roma, Italian Serie A side.

And despite a disappointing start this season, Salah now leads the Premier League top scorers’ list with 21 goals and now has 25 goals across all competitions.

Wenger told BeIN sports, “Mohamed Salah is a fantastic player. He blossomed at Liverpool after being already very good at Roma.

“He is a sensational player. He fell a little bit after the World Cup until the past few weeks, he managed to come back to his best and he is one of the best players in the world right now.

“You have to give credit to Liverpool, with many clubs on the market and be able to sniff a player like him, shows that they did very well.”

Salah now hopes to replicate his incredible form for Egypt in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), slated for June and July this year in Egypt.

The Egyptian Pharaohs were drawn in Group A alongside DR Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
