Job Description
- The main objective of the position is to perform efficient and high standard maintenance engineering supervision as laid out in the NCAA, CATS and CARS.
- The ideal candidate will own the entire production process. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
- Ensure that lead AME’s and supporting staff Maintain, repair, overhaul or modify aircraft/engines/components in accordance with Aircraft/Engine/Component maintenance manuals.
- Updating and maintaining of aircraft documentation and maintenance programs.
- Acting and performing the functions of inspector.
- Acting and performing the functions of release to service and certificate of airworthiness.
- Supervise the staff allocated to your department.
- Appoint a lead AME for scheduled maintenance to ensure control of all tasks.
- Control and guidance of allocated technical staff.
- Update maintenance records on the Quantum system.
- Ensure that jobs are closed timeously.
- Update and maintain work packs.
- Assisting with the quoting process.
- Manage / limit overtime to that approved by customer .
- Meeting delivery target dates.
- Ensure workflow efficiency through daily meetings with lead AME’s.
- Control labour usage in accordance approved quotes.
- Control of personal tools and equipment.
- Control of aircraft tools and equipment.
- Control of aircraft parts and consumables.
- Control of spare parts and provisioning of min stock requirements.
- Ensure that they are aware of and adhere to our management system.
- Dual inspect their area of work etc.
- Control movement of subcontractors.
- Ensure sub-contractors are effectively managed.
- Ensuring their work area and surrounding hanger area are kept clean at all times.
- Ensure ground support equipment is clean and serviceable.
- Report defective GSE on a weekly basis.
- Participate in internal cross-departmental audits and audits carried out internally by external 3rd party auditors.
- Participate in the maintenance planning process and ensure continuous communication with planning department.
- Inputs into other functions (other employee daily duties and responsibilities) will be as per Maintenance Management System requirements.
- Ensure sign-off of timesheets on a daily basis.
- Manage and evaluate entire production process.
- Contribute to production planning and budgeting.
- Lead and monitor quality assessments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a safe production environment.
- Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational:
- Licensed Senior AME (Airframe, Category A & C)
- Relevant Type / Course Ratings
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous Management positions held
Experience:
- 4 – 5 Years experience as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work overtime and travelling (away from base maintenance may be required)
- Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
- Valid passport
