Job Details
- Oversee a team of maintenance technicians providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Develop and maintain a scheduling routine and preventive maintenance of all company equipment, estimating work and technical assistance when developing job plans.
- Interface with equipment manufacturers to get technical support when there is an issue with a machine.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure that all work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Ensure all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment and machinery.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedules to avoid disruptions in the production process.
- Plan and schedule maintenance tasks, including routine inspections, repairs, and overhauls.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring that necessary items are always in stock.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to order parts and materials as needed.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repairs.
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance performance, costs, and any issues that arise.
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce costs, and increase equipment reliability.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance maintenance efficiency.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, Industrial maintenance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in supervising a team and managing maintenance operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments.
- Ability to diagnose and solve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently.
