Management Accountant at DO.II Designs Limited

Job Summary

  • We are currently seeking an experienced, and thorough Management Accountant to join our organization.
  • In this role, you will demonstrate your management skills and accounting expertise in a variety of personal and corporate accounting practices, including overseeing payables, receivables, inventory, payroll and taxes.

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Perform financial analysis and report to the Head, Finance and Accounts as needed.
  • Perform month-end accounting activities such as ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
  • Generate financial reports and statements to the Head, Finance and Accounts for review.
  • Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
  • Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
  • Ensure compliance with key Accounts and Financial functions in line with internal Period End Closure checklists.
  • Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
  • Provide guidance to other Accountants when needed.
  • Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
  • Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
  • Preparation of periodic accounting reports as well as end-of-year management accounts.
  • Input and posting into the computerized accounting systems
  • Preparation of Management Accounts schedules.
  • Supervision of the bank reconciliation process
  • Communicate with all departments in ensuring invoices are approved and signed off.
  • Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of an HND/ University degree and relevant certification(s).
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA is a must. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Six or more years related experience and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in management
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory policies
  • Exceptional computer skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
  • Expertise working with ERP and financial statements
  • Consistent, accurate, and thorough with an eye for details
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and V-lookups
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently research and resolve tasks with minimal supervision with awareness and motivation to collaborate when necessary.
  • Perform highly detailed work with accuracy and precision.
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced highly collaborative environment.
