Manchester United Fail To Secure Champions League Spot

by Hafeestonova

The chances of Manchester United making a top four finish to secure a place for next season Champions League came to an end after another disappointing draw against relegated Huddersfield.

United took the lead 8 minutes into the game through midfielder Scot Mctominay and had a decent first half performance but didn’t capitalise on their chances. As they have done recently they gave a poor second half performance and in the 60th minutes Huddersfield levelled the score from a counter attack which saw Isaac Mbenza score his first goal for the club.

In a tension soak end, United substitute Tahith Chong had a shot saved and Paul Pogba hit the bar before David de Gea made sure Karlan Grant didn’t give Huddersfield an unexpected win.

This result means that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side cannot catch up with Chelsea who are now third after a three nil victory against Watford or Tottenham who sit at fourth position with 70 points.
