Job Description
- Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
- Order, perform, and interpret tests/reports, and other examinations to diagnose patients’ condition.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
- Provide medical support to midwives in the delivery of babies.
- Execute minor surgical procedures on patients to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.
- To provide quality medical care to patients
- Ensure comprehensive, accurate and concise medical records are collected and maintained for patients with an appropriate signature.
- Participate in clinical audit and quality programs as appropriate. etc
Job Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent
- Experience: at least 1year post NYSC work experience
- Must possess a valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Proficiency with the use of EMR
- Basic Surgical Skills.
- Must possess NYSC discharge Certificate or Exemption letter.
- Must be familiar with the operation of HMOs/NHIS
- Excellent problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
