Job Description

  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
  • Order, perform, and interpret tests/reports, and other examinations to diagnose patients’ condition.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
  • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
  • Provide medical support to midwives in the delivery of babies.
  • Execute minor surgical procedures on patients to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.
  • To provide quality medical care to patients
  • Ensure comprehensive, accurate and concise medical records are collected and maintained for patients with an appropriate signature.
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality programs as appropriate. etc

Job Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Experience: at least 1year post NYSC work experience
  • Must possess a valid practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
  • Proficiency with the use of EMR
  • Basic Surgical Skills.
  • Must possess NYSC discharge Certificate or Exemption letter.
  • Must be familiar with the operation of HMOs/NHIS
  • Excellent problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
