PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Responsible for ensuring compliance/ implementation and maintenance of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems as well as ensuring that products, site, personnel, and process conforms to microbiology standards.
THE JOB
- Implement and maintain Quality and Food Safety Management Systems, continuously improving their effectiveness.
- Conduct microbiological analysis of raw materials, finished products, equipment, personnel, and the environment to ensure compliance with standards.
- Review process documentation to verify conformance with Quality and Food Safety Management System requirements.
- Analyze incoming packaging materials, ensuring COAs are received and deviations are promptly escalated and resolved.
- Identify areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develop and implement corrective action plans, and provide guidance on preventive actions.
- Perform site GMP and hygiene audits, implement corrective actions to address identified non-conformities.
- Organize and conduct training sessions for operatives to meet quality and food safety standards.
- Plan and execute internal and supplier audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Inspect and validate the cleaning of bins and other milling and packing equipment.
- Function as the QMS Site Coordinator and Food Safety Team Leader, ensuring effective management and coordination.
- Report all FMN Lifesaving Rules Violations and Behavioral-Based Safety issues to the Safety Department.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
THE PERSON MUST
- Have an excellent verbal and written communication skill.
- Be able to work in fast-paced environment
- Pay high attention to details.
QUALIFICATION
- BSC /HND in Accounting or related field
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIA is an advantage.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medium-sized manufacturing organization, FMCG or audit firm.
