Nigeria’s Ighalo Scores Twice as Shanghai Trashes Beijing

29 year old Ighalo has scored a total of four goals this season and he netted twice to help Shanghai seal their incredible victory over Beijing Renhe.

He scored the third goal in the 35th minute of the game as the hosts maintained dominance in the first 45 minutes at the Hongkou Stadium. His goal came after Giovanni Morenco and Fredy Guarin scored a goal each in the first 30 minutes.

Ighalo came back from the first half break to score his second goal in the 66th minute of the game with a beautiful assist from Guarin.

The final goal of the game came on the 80th minute as Zhang Lu rounded the festival of goals.

However, the opposition, Beijing Renhe was compensated with a late goal that came from the Senegalese forward Makhete Diop just four minutes to the final whistle.

The Nigeria star who joined Quique Sanchez Flores’ men from Changchun Yatai in February has now scored four goals in four games, which makes him the joint top scorer in the league with Israel’s Eran Zahavi.
