NYSC gets new Director-General

The National Youth Service Corps’ (NYSC) substantive Director General, Major General S. Ibrahim, has taken over as acting director general from NYSC Christy Uba.

On Monday, the ceremony took place at the Yakubu Gowon House, NYSC NDHQ, in Maitama, Abuja.

Mrs. Uba took over as director general (DG) of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), succeeding Brig.-Gen. Muhammad Fadah, who was fired by President Muhammadu Buhari.

At the time of Fadah’s dismissal, Uba was the Corps’ most senior directorate and served as the director of information and communications technology.

President Buhari appointed Ibrahim as a substantive replacement for Fadah

He has now been sworn in as the 22nd DG of the Scheme.

Fadah assumed duty as the 20th head on May 18, 2022, succeeding Maj.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim.
