Obey traffic rules, Lagos warns bike riders

The Lagos State Task Force has warned dispatch riders and power bike riders against various traffic offences following the enforcement of the ban on the activities of commercial motorcycles across the state by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The agency’s chairman, Shola Jejeloye, disclosed this in a statement signed by the agency’s Director, Press and Public Affairs, Gbadeyan Abdulraheem, on Tuesday.

Jejeloye noted that the agency had seized 250 bikes for violating traffic laws and they would be crushed during the weekend at the task force’s crushing site in Alausa.

He said, “Riding a power bike doesn’t make you immune to traffic laws of the state especially when it has to do with riding against traffic on one way which is highly dangerous to road users and even pedestrians.
