The Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku today kicked off the Cervical Cancer Screening Project in conjunction with Center For Medical Informatics And Professional Development of LASUTH.
The Mayor who stated during the launch of the programme at the Ogba Primary Health Center, Oluwole, highlighted on the medical project which is based on the tripod of vaccination, screening and treatment is timely and preventive for cervical cancer while stressing that his administration is exploring more Public Private Partnership collaborations and leaving no stone unturned in providing quality healthcare for the people of Ojodu LCDA.
He also adviced environs to take advantage of the 5 day programme, noting that his administration is facilitating more medical outreaches for other segments of society and localities in the community, all to be executed under the H.E.Y.S. Agenda.
Representative of the Center For Medical Informatics And Professional Development in LASUTH, Prof. Oluwarotimi Daramola who praised the Chairman and his administration for openness to collaborations for development in Ojodu LCDA, spoke on the severity of cervical cancer cases and harped on the importance of prevention while thanking the Chairman, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku for the opportunity to collaborate with the council on the medical project.
Also In attendance were members of the legislative chamber, representatives of the Centre For Medical Informatics & Professional Development (CMPD), Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), CIPD Members, Supervisor and Medical Officer For Health.
