Ojodu LCDA Boss Meets with Iyaloja and Market Leaders

The Executive Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Lagos State, Hon Segun Odunmbaku, yesterday met with the Iyaloja and other market leaders across Ojodu and environs at the Council Secretariat, Oke-Ira Ogba.

Iyaloja of Ojodu Land, Mrs. Folashade Salako, led other market leaders to felicitate with the Mayor on the successive outcome of the last general elections and also discuss plans towards attending the forthcoming Inauguration Ceremony.

Hon Segun Odunmbaku, while addressing the market leaders, appreciated them for their outstanding support during the election whilst promising that his administration would continue to collaborate with them on improving trade and commerce in Ojodu LCDA.

The Mayor also announced plans to modernize and redevelop Sunday Market (Abibatu Mogaji Market) while introducing innovations like digital monetary contributions (Àjọ) in partnership with microfinance institutions that would also create access to finance for traders.

Eulogies and prayers were also offered for the Late Iyaloja of Akiode, who passed away and certificate was presented to Mrs. Kafila Ahmed as the new Iyaloja of Akiode, whom the Mayor and other market leaders advised to continue the good legacies of her late mother.

Iyaloja of Yakoyo gave the vote of thanks and commended the Mayor for the harmonious relationship between Government and market leaders that is contributing to prosperity and economic development of Ojodu LCDA.
