Ojodu LCDA Mayor Hosts Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sanwoolu On Health

The Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon Segun Odunmbaku last week received the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Health, Mrs. Oreoluwa Finnih who paid a working visit to the Mayor at the council secretariat in Oke Ira Ogba.

The SSA who had earlier visited health facilities across the community was full of praises for the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA for the level of unprecedented development recorded in the primary health sector that has made Ojodu LCDA the leading local government in overall performance indices regarding primary healthcare.

Hon. Segun Odunmbaku in his welcome speech appreciated the State Government for its counterpart support and partnership with Ojodu LCDA especially in the health sector while stressing that the H.E.Y.S Agenda of his administration and THEMES Agenda of the Lagos State Government are in tandem with Healthcare being cardinal pillars of both policies.

The Mayor while reeling out some of his interventions in the health sector being procurement of ambulances, renovation of primary health centers, provision of medical equipment and alternative source of energy for health centers, recruitment of more medical personnel, and establishment of a geriatric unit at Apata Primary Health Center said his administration would continue to do more across Ojodu LCDA.

He also implored the State Government to commit more resources and projects towards support and partnership with Ojodu LCDA like the proposed State-funded health center at Ogba and that his administration is committed to collaborations with other levels of government, organized private sector and non-governmental organizations to provide world-class primary health care for Ojodu people.

In attendance were the Head Of Administration in Ojodu LCDA, Engineer Dele Abayomi, the MOH for Ojodu LCDA, Dr. Anne Okon, and Senior Health Officials in Ojodu LCDA.
